The best canal tour in Amsterdam. The evening canal cruise with Captain Dave was outstanding!Captain Dave was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer our questions about Amsterdam. He also provided recommendations on where to eat and visit while we were in Amsterdam. Dave was also very fun and humorous, which made the canal tour even more enjoyable. The tour boat was awesome! It's a classic boat that has been converted to electric power so it was very quiet and had no fuel or exhaust smell. It was one of the only tour boats we found that actually had a restroom on board. The boat was heated, had large windows that didn't obstruct the view but kept you warm, and also slid down so it was felt like the open air boats when the weather cooperated. There is also an outdoor area with seating and a table which was nice and private. They also provided alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks for no cost. My girlfriend and I were both really impressed with Dave and the canal tour, and plan to return later this month for the evening light tour.

Cruising the Amsterdam canals. Simply amazing. Our boat captain, Tony, was very informative on everything Amsterdam, and interacted with all of us board seamlessly. The small boat makes the trip personal. Coffee, orange juice, smoothie, or even alcohol was available, along with a small snack. I would easily do another trip if I had time. No hesitation in recommending these guys. Thank you Tony.

Best tour and guide and amazing start to my Amsterdam trip The best start to my few days in amsterdam. Lovely boat and only the 9 of us so a good size group. There was plenty of fresh drinks and sweet bread on offer and the captain was really knowledgable and friendly. The canal trip lasted 1.5hrs and was lovely to go through the canals on the ex-royal boat. We saw a few of the other bigger company boats which looked too big to fit in the canals we went through and looked un-friendly in comparison.Would definitely do a canal tour through Captain Dave again when I bring family and friends to amsterdam. Highly recommend doing this on your trip to Amsterdam!

This is a must-do experience for all first time visitors to Amsterdam! Even though it was cloudy during my trip, the sights from the canal were still magnificent, and the storytelling was top notch. We appreciated all the drinks and snacks provided to us as well. Next time I visit, I’m definitely doing this again!

Amazing experience and learnt so much too Fantastic morning cruise in a beautiful boat whilst being given really interesting information about the history of Amsterdam Also had some amazing ‘bread’ that was incredible and not like anything we had eaten before but apparently Dave collects this each week so that his clients can enjoy during the tiller cruises Overall would highly recommend and well worth 90 minutes of your time whilst visiting Amsterdam

Brought our two littles (5 and 3) and we all enjoyed! It was definitely more for an adult crowd, so children struggled to sit through the talking portion, but our captain did a nice job incorporating them. Drinks and snacks were great and we learned a lot!

Wonderful private tour with a fun and knowledgeable skipper! Our 2 hours private tour with the beautiful "Jonckvrouw" (Saturday November 2nd, 2024) was more than complete by the fun and knowledgeable skipper Hassan. He sailed us (6 adults and 2 young teens) through the Amsterdam canals with ease and no question remained unanswered. Highest recommendations!!

The BEST boat tour in Amsterdam! Our captain for the tour was Hussain who was so friendly. He came and found us on the other side of the street as we had arrived early and were just sitting and waiting. This meant we got chance to chat to him and find out a little about the boat’s amazing history! The boat itself was beautifully furnished and had a large covered area (with windows that came down) and a small outside area at the back.There were 11 people on our trip which made it feel intimate. It also meant we didn’t have to listen to a commentary through headphones or not be able to hear it at all like on some of the larger boats. Out tour lasted 90 min and absolutely flew by. On board there were a range of drinks and some sugar bread which was nice. Captain Hussain had a great personality and told so many stories about the area and its history. We were also given some recommendations for lunch/dinner. Thank you so much for a fab time!

Being on the 6pm cruise, we had the privilege of starting in the light and finishing in the dark, seeing the beautiful sunset sky.

Had such a wonderful morning boat ride with Hassan. Top bloke, super charming, friendly, knowledgeable, resourceful and very good with remembering names. We were only 5 so it was such a personalized tour. Would do it again and again.
