Highly recommend Amazing tour. Not crowded, friendly and knowledgeable skipper.

Informative and relaxed early morning canal tour This was a freat small group morning tour. We chose it because the pick up was in Prinsengracht. Our guide Gisella pointed out loads of interesting things along the canals, she was knowledgeable about history and gave us recommendations for shops, cafes and restaurants. Hot drinks, juice and delicious sugar bread were included.

A perfect morning on the canals Tour was wonderful. Early on a Sunday morning we were the only boat on the water. It was peaceful and beautiful. It rained during part of our tour but didn’t matter because we were cozy inside with views through the surrounding glass. Our guide Jan was so knowledgeable and personable. We learned so much and were able to ask lots of questions. We can’t recommend this enough.

a superior way to explore the canals Great tour. Unscripted and interactive. Only 12 people max on the tour so everyone was able to ask questions and we could chat without the need for amplification. I’d say this was a huge contrast to the endless parade of big boats and their formal routes and presentation. Also we missed our slot (our fault) but they just put us on another tour later in the day. Thanks Dave and Gisele.

Highly Recommended! Felt Like Taking A Ride On A Local's Private Boat A wonderful evening on a beautiful boat with Skipper Gisella! We enjoyed a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic description of the sights, with lots of intimate details that made the whole experience more memorable than a standard tour. The small boat ensured easy Q-and-A with the captain and it was fun to watch her operate the helm while narrating, watching for other boats, and answering our questions. A delightful, relaxing, and thoroughly fun way to experience the canals!

Small group Nice to do a cruise in a small group, rather than a crowd. Fun and relaxing experience.

Jan was a great tour guide, we were laughing and having a good time learning about the history of Amsterdam and interesting tidbits. We were able to see a lot of the canals, including the 7 lights at night. The boat was also lovely. Would highly recommend going on the evening tour for the pretty canal lights!

Beautiful boat with an awesome tour guide! Captain Jon was very informative as well as entertaining with humorous stories. The boat was beautiful with coffee and juice available and the BEST sugar bread. The early morning cruise gave us the canals all to ourselves ( we saw 4 boats during our 90 minute tour. I highly recommend this cruise!

Brilliant tour 6 stars for this tour. As a seasoned world traveller this is THE BEST. Captain Jan was brilliant as a guide, raconteur & captain. Funny, professional & informed. And also you get to try Fresian cake & fresh 'capsule' coffee & juice. The boat is a star as well. And any talk of politics is not allowed unless .. entertainingYou must try this , small group, flexible tour, questions answered, hilarious, excellent value for money

It was nice to see the sun rise over the canals, bridges, and buildings of Amsterdam. I appreciate early morning tours because you’re up and still have a ton more to explore. We also appreciated the list of recommended spots in Amsterdam since there really is so much to see and it can be overwhelming! The boat itself was gorgeous and it was very peaceful going up and down the canals before the rest of the city did. There is a bathroom on board and a small out door deck in the back. Overall, it was a great experience and I got some gorgeous photos from it!

Amazing bus tour on Amsterdam's canal Amazing boat tour. Shoutout to the very nice blond lady (I didn't get her name sadly). Breakfast delicious, you can open the window, there are covers, the boat is amazing and doesn't really move. I 100% recommend.

Wonderful morning cruise Captain Dave was a wonderful host. He was extremely charming and knowledgeable. We did a morning tour, which was a perfect way to see the city. Coffee, pastries and mimosas were provided on his beautiful boat. He also provided a list of things to do and restaurants to visit. I would highly recommend this tour

Fantastic cruise We had a great time on our cruise this morning. Jan was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable and entertaining, and a skilful Captain often steering the boat whilst facing the other way! The sweet bread onboard was also a delicious treat.Jan also provided his own hand-picked list of what to see and do in Amsterdam. Unfortunately too late for us because we’re heading home today, but we’ll be back and will keep the list safe until then.

Excellent tour This tour was the perfect start to our weekend in the city, the tour was very relaxed and a wonderful way to learn the history and get our bearings before exploring on our own. It was lovely being out on the canals before the crowds and having the water and sights to ourselves. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and the tour was well worth the early start and money.

Best Canal Boat Tour! Such a fun canal tour! Captain Dave was friendly, upbeat, funny, and knowledgeable. His tour was not read from a script - while he shared key historical information and points of interest, the tour was very personalized to those of us on the boat. Being a small group was great we were able to ask questions, get great pictures, and not feel at all cramped. Captain Dave’s boat was beautiful and he had drinks and snacks for us. Definitely the best boat tour I’ve taken - I highly recommend Captain Dave!

An Amsterdam gem This is hands down one of the best boat cruises I have ever done. The boat itself is a historical marvel, boasting many prestigious passengers in its long life, and is a very comfortable and stable ride. The highlight of the cruise was Captain Jan. A truly remarkable skipper who is not only very skilled, knowledgeable and entertaining, he had us eating out of the palm of his hands the whole trip. With a capacity to seat 12 passengers, an onboard toilet and bar, the Jonckvrouw is perfect for small groups, families, corporate outings and special events. It’s a slice of Amsterdam heaven that should not be missed.
